‘Large volume’ of data stolen from NHS Dumfries and Galloway published on dark web

NHS Dumfries and Galloway has acknowledged that a significant amount of its data, including patient and staff information, has been published on the dark web by hackers. The Scottish health board, which was the target of a cyber attack in March, is cooperating with partner agencies, including the police, the National Cyber Security Centre and the Scottish Government, to assess the published information and resolve the situation.
