Data stolen in cyber attack on health board published on dark web

Cyber criminals have released a significant amount of data, including patient and staff details, onto the dark web following an attack on NHS Dumfries and Galloway that began in February. A dedicated helpline has been established, and the health board is working with various agencies, including Police Scotland and the National Cyber Security Centre, to assess the situation. Data relating to a small number of patients was released in March and the criminals threatened to release more.
