NHS trust apologises for Covid trial data breach

The Midlands Partnership NHS Trust has come under scrutiny after inadvertently sharing the email addresses of participants in a Covid vaccine trial. The trust attributed the data breach to human error and reported the incident to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), which has since given data protection advice and closed the case without taking any further action.
