How a simple QR code can avoid 2,000 ED admissions

Gold Coast Health, a public health service in Queensland, has teamed up with Foxo to launch an alternative care pathway for chronic disease patients. Called the General Medicine-Rapid Access Service (G-RAS), it enables patients to communicate with their doctors through secure messaging, voice or video calls using a QR code. The service is expected to reduce up to 2,000 unplanned emergency department visits annually.
