Sensitive records office data accessed in cyber attack on health board

Sensitive data from Scotland’s National Records of Scotland was accessed in a cyber attack on NHS Dumfries and Galloway’s IT network, affecting fewer than 50 individuals. The stolen information included sensitive data about people and entries from statutory registers. The NRS is cooperating in a live criminal investigation and reaching out to the affected individuals.
