Ticketmaster is examining a data breach after hacking group ShinyHunters claimed to have stolen the data of over 500 million customers. In a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, parent firm Live Nation Entertainment reported unauthorised activity on a third-party cloud database. ShinyHunters, believed to be a legit threat actor, is suspected to be behind the breach, with the group claiming to have the personal details of 560 million Ticketmaster clientele, available for purchase at $500,000.
