Sensitive records office data accessed in cyber attack on health board

The National Records of Scotland (NRS) revealed that its data, including sensitive information and information from statutory births, deaths, and marriages registers, was compromised in a cyber attack on the NHS Dumfries and Galloway IT network in March 2024. The NRS is notifying fewer than 50 individuals whose information may put them at risk.
