Nearly 4,000 convicted of Covid rule breaches in England since curbs ended

Nearly 4,000 people in England have been convicted for breaching Covid-19 restrictions since these measures ended over two years ago, according to Financial Times analysis, contributing to a total of 27,600 convictions. Defence lawyers and campaigners have expressed surprise and concern over the ongoing legality of these offences.
