London Hospitals Cyberattack Wreaks Healthcare Havoc

Three major London hospitals, including King’s College Hospital and St Thomas’s, have been hit by a ransomware cyberattack that affected clinical services such as blood transfusions and test results. The hospitals are partners with Synnovi, a pathology services provider, which implemented a taskforce of IT experts to assess the impact. The NHS confirmed emergency care was available and apologised for any inconvenience, while Synnovi also apologised and is working with the NHS to minimise impact.
