Major London hospitals disrupted by Synnovis ransomware attack

A ransomware attack on Synnovis, a pathology and diagnostic services provider, has disrupted healthcare services at several major NHS hospitals in London, including blood transfusions. The incident is limiting the hospitals’ access to Synnovis IT servers and quick-turnaround blood test results. Some procedures were cancelled or redirected. No public statement has been made yet by Synnovis, but authorities are investigating the incident’s impact. Synnovis, formerly Viapath, is a joint venture partially owned by two NHS trusts.
