Cyber attack forces hospitals to delay surgeries

London hospitals such as King’s College Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ cancelled some operations after key service supplier Synnovis suffered a ransomware attack. The cyber attack has had a major impact on blood transfusions and could take weeks to resume pathology results access. The National Cyber Security Centre and the health service’s cybersecurity team are urgently assessing the situation.
