A cyber attack on contracted IT firm Synnovis has forced several UK hospitals to cancel major surgeries and blood transfusions. Impacted hospitals, including Guy’s, St Thomas’, King’s College, Royal Brompton, and Harefield, are being forced to delay appointments potentially for weeks. Synnovis serves NHS pathology labs and has confirmed the attack and the resultant disruptions, but it’s still working on finding a solution.
