Putin’s Russia in frame over London NHS cyberhack that saw surgeries cancelled – latest on hospitals

A Russia-based group of cyber criminals called Qilin has been accused of the recent ransomware attack on IT contractor Synnovis that affected multiple NHS hospitals and forced cancellations of surgeries and blood transfusions. According to the former CEO of the National Cyber Security Centre, Ciaran Martin, such groups are allowed to operate freely within Russia.
