‘Serious’ critical incident forces Bromley GPs to cancel routine blood tests

The Bromley GP Alliance has cancelled all routine blood test appointments due to a cyberattack on Synnovis, a medical services supplier in southeast London. The attack, believed to have been carried out by Russian group Qilin, has disrupted pathology services including phlebotomy and cervical screening. Some operations have been cancelled in impacted hospitals, including Guy’s and St Thomas’, and King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts. Non-urgent blood tests won’t be processed until further notice.
