Qilin: What we know about the Russian gang behind London hospital cyber attack

Russian cyber-criminal group Qilin has carried out a ransomware attack on pathology services provider Synnovis, severely reducing its capacity and causing a series of major hospitals in London to cancel operations. The attack has impacted the Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, leading to a “major IT incident”. The cyber gang operates a ransomware-as-a-service model via websites on the dark web.
