A ransomware attack on Synnovis, a London-based provider of pathology services to hospitals and GP surgeries, has led to procedure and operation cancellations. The company’s IT systems have been affected, with hospital officials seeking to establish what work can still proceed safely. Patients have reported last-minute call offs; the attack has impacted King’s College Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas’ and the Evelina London Children’s Hospital among others.
