Procedures cancelled after cyber attack affects major London hospitals

A ransomware cyberattack on Synnovis, a major pathology partner in the UK, has disrupted services at multiple NHS providers, forcing cancellations and redirections of certain procedures. The attack has had a major impact on blood transfusions and has affected patient access in six London boroughs. King’s College Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas’, the Royal Brompton and the Evelina London Children’s Hospital, and primary care services have declared a critical incident.
