Patient safety fears as nearly 60 GP surgeries sold without NHS approval

US health insurance company, Operose Health, has sold over 50 GP surgeries to British private equity firm, HCRG Care Group, without NHS approval. Accusations of contract law breaches have been levelled and concerns raised regarding patient safety. Operose has defended the move, stating that the change of ownership won’t affect patient care or accessibility.
