Qilin ransomware blamed for London hospitals cyber attack

A Russian ransomware group named Qilin has been linked to an attack that affected several major NHS hospitals in London. The attack targeted pathology services provider Synnovis Group LLP, disrupting services including blood transfusions. Some procedures that rely heavily on pathology services have been postponed. Despite identifying the group, no evidence of data theft or leaks has been found. The NHS has deployed a cyber incident response team to assist Synnovis and affected hospitals.
