Hundreds of cancer patients are hit as thousands of appointments are cancelled after London NHS hospitals are hit by Russian cyber attack

A Russian cyber attack on NHS hospitals in London, including Guy’s and St Thomas’ and King’s College Hospital Trusts, caused as many as 200 emergency operations and thousands of appointments and other procedures to be cancelled. The strike affected the IT system Synovis, run by Synlab UK & Ireland, which carries out more than 32 million pathology tests annually.
