NHS cancer patients have surgeries cancelled after hospital cyber attacks

A cyberattack on Synnovis, a supplier of pathology services to NHS hospitals in south London, has impacted hundreds of cancer patients leading to the cancellation of thousands of appointments and over 200 emergency and life-saving operations. The ransomware attack by Russian hackers Qilin has forced both Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation Trust and King’s College University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to declare critical incidents.
