Trainee medics urged to help after cyber-attack

London hospitals are in a crisis following a significant cyberattack on the pathology firm Synnovis, believed to be conducted by Russian group, Qilin. Medical students have been requested to volunteer for long shifts to manually deliver blood tests, as services such as blood transfusions and test results have been significantly disrupted. NHS staff are now resorting to paper-based methods.+
