London hospitals: O-type blood donors needed after cyber-attack

People with O-blood type are being urgently requested to donate blood in the UK. This comes following a ransomware attack which affected major London hospitals, disrupting their ability to match patients’ blood types. O-negative and O-positive blood groups can be safely used for all patients which makes them particularly valuable in times of crisis. The cyberspace attack has been blamed on a Russian group known as Qilin.
