NHS cannot say how long extra blood donors are needed after cyber attack

The NHS Blood and Transplant service is appealing for blood donors, particularly those with O+ and O- blood types, due to delays in matching patients’ blood following a ransomware attack on pathology services provider, Synnovis, suspected to be carried out by Russian group, Qilin. The time scale for resolving the issue is currently unknown.
