NHS Pleads For O Blood-type Donors After Attack

NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is urgently appealing for O blood-type donors in England following a ransomware attack on pathology firm Synnovis, likely the work of Russian cybercriminal group, Qilin, which led to significant disruption in several London hospitals. The attack affected the hospitals’ ability to match patient blood types resulting in increased demand for O-positive and O-negative blood donations.
