GP fears patients will suffer harm after NHS cyber attack

A cyber attack on the NHS has caused major disruption, with a focus on clearing a backlog of O-type blood donors. Six large trust hospitals in London including Great Ormond Street and King’s College Hospital were among those impacted. A GP partner from the South Street Medical Centre in Greenwich revealed that they were told to cancel all standard blood tests as a result of the ransomware attack, which is set to continue disrupting services until the end of June.
