Russians thought to be behind cyber attack on hospitals

The Russian cyber gang Qilin is allegedly behind a ransomware attack on Synnovis, a provider of pathology lab services for several National Health Service hospitals in London. The attack disrupted hospital operations, leading to cancelled procedures and appointments and major impact on services like blood transfusions. This is one of the most severe ransomware attacks in the UK, according to Ciaran Martin, former chief executive of the National Cyber Security Centre.
