This study discovered increased frequency and severity of cyber incidents and data breaches. Remote working, reliance on external vendors, use of IoT devices, and adoption of AI technologies have expanded attack surfaces for hackers. A rise in global data protection laws have also impacted these businesses, with 43% stating their data privacy risk was affected by remote and hybrid working modes.
