NHS cyber attack: Delays as only critical tests selected – GP

After a cyber attack on IT firm Synnovis, NHS teams have been ordered to only process “clinically critical” blood samples due to a strain on resources. The attack has greatly affected pathology services in several London hospitals. Teams are unable to track unprocessed tests and are unable to respond to queries about sample statuses. Synnovis has put additional resources in place to process urgent samples. The cyber attack is believed to have been carried out by a Russian group named Qilin.
