London hospitals grapple with aftermath of cyber attack

London hospitals continue to deal with disruptions caused by a recent cyber attack targeting pathology firm Synnovis. The attack has affected services such as blood transfusions at several healthcare locations including Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital and King’s College Hospital. Processes are taking significantly longer, including blood tests which now can take up to six hours. Urgent cases have had to be transferred to other healthcare facilities and the hospital is working at only about 70% capacity.
