Snowflake Denies Attack Responsibility, Admits Hack of Former Worker
Snowflake, the cloud computing company, has denied being responsible for recent cyberattacks on Ticketmaster and Santander Bank that exposed the data of over half a billion customers. While Snowflake confirmed that a former employee’s demo account was accessed by hackers, the company insists that the account contained no sensitive data and wasn’t connected to its primary systems. Both breached companies have blamed cloud data vulnerabilities for the attacks, which affected other firms as well, including Anheuser-Busch and Mitsubishi.
