Russian cyber attack on health service forces axing of 800 operations in London

A suspected Russian cyber attack on the NHS has led to more than 800 operations and 700 outpatient appointments being postponed. The attack targeted systems run by Synnovis, which supplies pathology services. The hack has severely impacted the NHS South East London’s capacity, with full restoration expecting to take months. The services of King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust are particularly affected.
