More than 800 operations postponed due to London cyber attack
A cyber attack on pathology service provider Synnovis has led to over 800 operations and 700 outpatient appointments being rescheduled. The ransomware breach occurred on 3 June 2024, impacting various NHS Foundation Trusts and other health providers in South East London. NHS England reported that pathology services operated at just 10% of regular capacity, with 97 cancer treatments and five caesareans postponed.
