Major London hospitals targeted by cyberattack

Several hospitals in London, including King’s College Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’, have had to cancel operations and other services due to a serious ransomware cyberattack on lab services provider Synnovis. The NHS has also seen disruptions to a range of primary care services. Russian cybercriminals from the cyber group Qilin are believed to be responsible for the attack. In response, Synnovis has set up an IT Taskforce to assess the full impact and minimise disruption to patients.
