GP concern as cyber criminals publish alleged NHS patient data

A cyber-attack on pathology lab Synnovis has disrupted GP services and led to a potential breach of NHS patient data. The incident continues to impact GP practices in London. Thousands of outpatient appointments and procedures have been postponed, with full services not expected until September. Synnovis provides lab services to several London hospitals and was targeted in a ransomware attack earlier in the month by cyber criminal group, Qilin. Investigations are underway to determine what information was stolen.
