A hacker gang called Qilin has released data stolen from NHS blood testing firm Synnovis on the dark web. The cyber attack disrupted operations at King’s College Hospital Trust and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Trust, with over 1,000 hospital procedures and GP appointments postponed. The hackers attempted to extort money from Synnovis before releasing 400GB of private data, which reportedly includes patient names, dates of birth, and details of blood tests.
