Investigation into cyber attack ‘could take weeks’, says NHS England

Cyberattacks by Russian group Qilin on Synnovis, a critical service provider to the NHS, have disrupted healthcare services in London, leading to cancellations of hundreds of operations and appointments. Investigations into the attack will take weeks, according to NHS England. Meanwhile, Synnovis has stored unprocessed blood samples safely but, due to lapse of time, some will now need to be discarded and re-taken. The attackers shared around 400GB of potentially sensitive data.
