Ransomware gang leak 400GB of NHS data from London hospital hack

The Qilin Russian hacker group has published almost 400GB of patient data stolen from NHS provider Synnovis. The data includes patient names and blood test results. The June 3 breach led to NHS officials calling a critical incident as pathology services in some hospitals were rendered useless and over 3,000 appointments and operations were delayed or cancelled. The hackers demanded at least $50m from Synnovis. This highlights the importance of having robust cybersecurity measures in the healthcare sector.
