Investigation into cyber attack ‘could take weeks’, says NHS England

Investigations into the recent cyber attack on London hospitals could take weeks, according to NHS England, and some patients may now need to have repeat tests. The NHS service provider targeted by ransomware was Synnovis, which offers pathology services to GP surgeries and NHS trusts, mainly in south-east London. Some hospital procedures and outpatient appointments had to be delayed after the firm was hit by the attack on June 3.
