Data from NHS cyber attack ‘published online by cyber criminal group’
The pathology service provider Synnovis, predominantly servicing southeast London, was targeted by a cyber attack on June 3, reportedly by Russian hacker group Qilin. Approximately 400GB of stolen data, including patient details and financial arrangements, were shared on the darknet and Telegram. Hundreds of operations and appointments have been postponed two weeks post-attack, and efforts to confirm the stolen data’s content are ongoing.
