Investigation into cyber attack ‘could take weeks’, says NHS England

A ransomware attack on London’s NHS chemical pathology provider Synnovis could take weeks to resolve, according to NHS England. The attack by Russian group Qilin has seen services disrupted, with some patients needing repeat tests as result of compromised data being discarded. Investigations are underway and a helpline has been set up for affected patients.
