Data from NHS cyber attack that cancelled operations ‘published online by criminal group’

Cyber criminals have reportedly published sensitive data from a ransomware attack on Synnovis, a company providing blood-testing services for the NHS in South London. The attack, believed to have been carried out by Russian group Qilin, also resulted in the cancellation of testing for 20,000 blood samples, requiring they be destroyed. Thousands of surgeries and appointments have been cancelled due to the breach, which included patient details and financial relationships between Synnovis, hospitals, and GP services.
