Investigation of Russian hack on London hospitals may take weeks amid worries over online data dump

An investigation is underway into a ransomware attack earlier this month on London hospitals by Russian group Qilin. The country’s National Health Service (NHS) said that data connected to the attack is reported to have been published online, including patient names, dates of birth and details of blood tests. The attack, which hit NHS provider Synnovis, primarily in southeast London, continues to disrupt services with hundreds of operations and appointments still being cancelled.
