Investigation into cyber attack ‘could take weeks’, says NHS England

The investigation into a ransomware attack, claimed by Russian group Qilin, on London hospitals could take weeks, NHS England has said. The cyber attack has affected Synnovis, an NHS provider which offers pathology services. Hundreds of operations and appointments continue to be cancelled two weeks after the incident. A helpline and website have been established to help patients. Data stolen in the attack and published by the hackers is being verified.
