NHS cyber attack data taken from Synnovis system, provider confirms
Data from a ransomware attack on NHS provider Synnovis has been confirmed as originating from the service. Synnovis, which manages blood tests for NHS trusts and GP services, primarily in south-east London, was attacked by a Russian group, Qilin, on June 3. The attackers published the data online, disrupting hundreds of operations and appointments. An investigation is ongoing and it could take weeks to identify which individuals have been impacted.
