NHS cyber attack data taken from Synnovis system, provider confirms

Cyber criminals, thought to be from Russian group Qilin, breached Synnovis, a firm handling blood tests for the NHS, causing hundreds of operations and appointments to be cancelled. While initial investigation suggests no entire database has been published online, it might take weeks to understand the full scope of the attack. Nearly 400GB of data, including patient details and financial arrangements between hospitals, Synnovis and GP services, were reportedly shared on the darknet and a Telegram channel.
