NHS cyber attack update as blood tests unable to be carried out and operations postponed

Hackers have posted stolen NHS blood patient data on the dark web after a cyber attack on NHS provider Synnovis. NHS England is investigating the breach, with the aid of the National Crime Agency and National Cyber Security Centre. The hackers, Qilin, have attempted to extort money from Synnovis since the June attack. The data includes blood test results, patient names and birth dates.
