NHS cyber attack data taken from Synnovis system, provider confirms

Synnovis, a firm managing blood tests for south-east London NHS trusts, was targeted by a cyber attack, allegedly by Russian group Qilin. The group reportedly stole and published patient data, including names, birth dates, NHS numbers, and blood test details. Hundreds of operations and appointments were cancelled following the attack. There is currently no evidence that the entire patient database was published, and investigations are ongoing to determine the extent of the data breach.
