NHS cyber attack data taken from Synnovis system, provider confirms

NHS provider Synnovis was the victim of a ransomware attack, believed to have been carried out by Russian group Qilin, causing the cancellation of hundreds of operations and appointments. NHS England confirmed the data posted online by the attackers came from Synnovis and included patient names, birth dates, and blood tests. Synnovis and the National Crime Agency are working to understand the full scale of the data breach and the patients impacted.
