Stolen blood test data from hospital cyber attack reportedly published online

Sensitive data from an NHS blood testing company, Synnovis, allegedly published online by a Russian cybercriminal group, Qilin, has led to hundreds of operations and appointments being cancelled three weeks after the incident. The leaked 400GB of data includes patients’ personal information, blood tests, and financial transactions between hospitals and GP services. The National Cyber Security Centre is working with NHS England to verify the files’ content. The total of 1,134 operations and 2,194 outpatient appointments have been postponed.
